I tried it as both master & slave on IDE2 and IDE1. On IDE2 it was by itself.

I had an Abit BX6 revision 2.02 that burnt up while I was trying to get it to recognize the Kenwood 52X cd-rom. I have Win95b and the bios seemed to detect it in auto mode, but win95 wanted an inf file to install it and Kenwood doesn't have one. The dos mscdexinstallation made no difference. I'd like to stay with this board, but I've seen where others have had problems installing cd-roms.
Does anyone have experience with this combination and have a solution other than a different board?
I've seen Gripsz post on the technical board and that was among the things I tried before the board burnt on me.
