The weirdest thing happened to me today. My FrontPage 2000 Icon switched back to the windows default icon. When I try to change the icon and select the .exe file to pull my icon from it tells me it contains no icons. I have tried reinstalling and it stills keeps doing the same thing. My request is that another FrontPage 2000 User email me just the 3 executable files. I would like to try to pull the icon from another file before I try anything else such as fooling with the registry. I know this problem seems really weird so if you need me to explain futher just ask. Email the files as attachments to rmdouglas@netzero.net. Thanks again for all the help.

Hi 2canSAM
Are any of your other icons looking funky?
If you have TweakUI, go to the Repair tab, and Rebuild Icons.
This has worked for me a few times, but if it's a FP2000 thing only, I'm afraid I dont know.

Yeah it is only messsing with FP2000. All others are just fine. I have used TweakUI to try a rebuild a couple of times and is still the same thing. I have probably just corrupted my .exe file in the registry somehow but would still like to try someone else's .exe file to see. Thanks anyway

Anyone have any ideas?
Maybe if you uninstalled and then manully go through the registry and delete fp2000 keys....then re-install.
There's always a clean windows install. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
*edit* Could you just pull the icon off the cd??

There's a repair option on the 'Help' menu in FrontPage, maybe you could try that?

I have tried all of the suggestions to no avail. I really do not want to mess with the registry yet or do a clean Windows install for just an Icon. It is just on of those little hang-ups I guess. I would like to try to pull the icon from someone else's .exe file just to see if it is my file or something in the reg. Since I have the same trouble puling it iff the cd I am guessing it is the reg but I just wnat to be sure. By the does YGM stand for "You Got Me"?

Have you tried reassigning the icon to the program? I actually have a friend that assigns different icons to all of his programs. To do this all you have to do is go into "folder Options" and then "file types" from there pick the program's name that you want to change the icon of and hit the edit button and the rest is pretty self explainatory http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
Enjoy having a "custom" icon for your photoshop program icon ect ect http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Thanks Socalgal the files that you sent worked just fine. I guess that my .exe just got corrupted somehow. Funny that they are that way on the cd too. Oh well I guess it is time to see if Microsoft will stand behind their products and replace my cd. Mtnsnow yeah I tried that as well as I do use most of my own icons for stuff. Thanks for the heads up though.
