thnx rickee but i've been there already. it's like a drawing or something but not really the board itself. i have this problem re-illegal bios i430VX-2A59Ht5BC-00 and definitely it's not a tyan mboard (bad bios coding i guess). i already visited other mboard sites claiming to have this kind of mboard i.d. and amptron came the closest with it's manual, jumper settings, bios dates etc. i'm just making sure of myself that relying on the actual pic would help me a lot. i guess you understand but hey thanks a lot for replying.

jayson, there definitely is a picture of the PM-7900 at the amptron site. Go in and click "motherboards" on the left and look for "all the rest" or something like that, you'll see PM-7900 listed there and click that.

This is also an Ability motherboard called Elpina. I know 'cause I got one. I am trying to boot it up with a Pentium 166 with no luck.

Do NOT try to run a Pentium 166 MMX chip in this board without a voltage regulator module (VRM) in the board because you will toast the chip just like I did. There is a nice manual you can download at the Amptron site that will explain all this. I would really like to know what kind of progress you are having with this board.

By the way, the Amptron site links to this one. Anyone have a clue about that?
