I have an ap5t-3 at home with a p200mmx processor. The system runs perfect, with Win 98. I have a question though..When doing a clean install of the operating system, I have always had the bios set to 'pnp os= no'
The manual says to enable this if using win 95/98, but I have never had any problems and the systme runs stable.
I haev been told this is the more stable config becuase the bios will handle IRQ assignment and config, while others have said that it should be left up to win 98 to mangage.
To the braintrust here, I would ask;
Which is the more relaible approach;
and which will give more performance.
