I've stumbled across the Phoenix ServerBIOS
(see: http://www.phoenix.com/products/serverbios.html ) which redirects keyboard and video I/O to a serial port during the pre-boot phase. I believe that will allow me--with a modem or terminal server--to manage the boot process from anywhere on my network. I assume that I can even access the BIOS setup remotely.
My questions:
- has anyone out there worked with this?
- where do I find motherboards that use this BIOS?
Looking forward to your replies.
