BH6, Bios, & sound card help

I have a BH6 300a o/c to 464, with the gy bios. I at this time have no sound card, as there seems to be problems with irq selection. Could you share with me what sound card works in your BH6 and what bios you use as well as the cards irq settings in windows and dos. I am using windoz 95b OEM Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean when you state:

Are you implying that you've tried hooking up a sound card and that you encountered a problem or that you've read of problems with irq selection?

In any event, I would think that most sound cards will work (eventually http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif) with the BH6. If you search on the SB Live, you'll find numerous posts which people have mentioned having conflicts with irq's. Eventually, things get sorted out and it will work with windows managing the default irq settings. Again, thanks for those who shared there troubles so that we can watch out in our experiences!

BTW, I have the old SB 64 AWE with the BH6 and it did not encounter any irq problems whatsoever. I let Windows manage my irq selections for both DOS and windows mode.

This is after I changed my socket 7 via chipset board to the slot 1 intel chipset board without reinstalling Windows (a big no no to some).
