Actually which magazine is the most popular amongst everyone here? THanks wyvrn 03-30-2000, 04:40 PM I vote for maximum pc. drizzle 03-30-2000, 04:43 PM I also place my vote for Maximum PC. It's got more 'meat' than other mags and it seems like they don't have as many ads as some of the others. Ed_S 03-30-2000, 05:23 PM I'll third that. Go get the April issue, it's PACKED with good info. And BTW, it's $7 each on the newsstand, but only $12 annual to subscribe (in the US) jbob 03-30-2000, 05:25 PM Maximum PC ROOOLES http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Gomer 03-30-2000, 05:26 PM Maximum PC rocks. plucky duck 03-30-2000, 06:00 PM Maximum PC 10 thumbs up http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Maximum PC, Minimum BS Plucky Warthog 03-30-2000, 06:41 PM Oh good, I was wondering the same thing. Was planning on getting a subscription to a pc mag. Couldn't decide between PC World, PC Magazine and Maximum PC. Thanks for making the decision for me! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Warthog KellerJ75 03-30-2000, 06:45 PM I like Maximum PC but I also subscibe to PCGamer. It's a good one if you are into alot of gaming. mgordon99 03-30-2000, 06:51 PM I currently get Maximum PC, PC Magazine, and...not really a "PC" magazine, Ebay Magazine. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Joel Kleppinger 03-30-2000, 07:04 PM Maximum PC has an unbeatable subscription price. Maximum Linux is significantly pricier, but a good mag (I'm subscribed). I also do like PC Magazine for a more rounded approach to the entire PC spectrum. Byte was always good for the full range of computing, but they've become less prominent over time (are they still even publishing?) thekingofpain 03-30-2000, 07:12 PM Ummmm....dare do I say....I love the way **MAC-ADDICT** mag is written, oh yeah Max PC is good....real good.... :-) Morpheus1964 03-30-2000, 07:21 PM I'll give tou vote ten for Maximum PC... Too bad Sherry Monarko left, I *LOVED* her column... Gomer 03-30-2000, 09:50 PM She was a hotty too!! Colonel Casio 03-30-2000, 10:39 PM Until they quit publishing it was Windows Magazine. But in order of preference: PC World, Maximum PC & PC Magazine. Thor 03-30-2000, 11:11 PM Well I like this magazines and I subscribed to all 3 of them as well, as the all cover different topics. Is it true that the subscription price is ~$1 per issue?? I used to get PCWorld Mag. they had more info. for the novice computer users, I already know/knew most of the info. in there. I did like the charts though, they helped me on buying a few products -jd- Richard_Cranium72 03-31-2000, 06:55 PM www.smartcomputing.com (http://www.smartcomputing.com) <<= The "PC Novice Learning Series" is just that. A book for people who have little or no knowledge of computers. It's well illustrated and helps one gain perspective on areas that you delve into on a seldom basis. Ed_S 03-31-2000, 07:53 PM Here's the link to Max PC's subscription page, which shows the price: https://secure.imaginemedia.com/group/grom/8LCX.html But - go get the April issue!! It's worth the $7!!! It's always a bonus when links are provided with the good info here. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif PC Accelerator is great for gaming articles. Richard_Cranium72 04-01-2000, 03:52 PM After re-reading my post, I think I may have indicated this Magazine was only for beginners. Not so, the learning series may be geared toward that but there is other issues that cover lots of skill levels. ==>>About...
