Motherboard fried?????

Can somebody help? I recently purchased a Celeron 'DIY' Kit which came with a BX Pro motherboard. Due to (a) minimalistic instructions and (b) finding this site one day too late, I think I may have blown my motherboard (by plugging the AT connectors the wrong way around). Can you help with these points....

1) Although I am pretty (99%) sure that the board is fried (black screen on startup) is there any surefire way of telling? It may just be that I've connected something wrongly.

2) If it is fried, does that mean that the CPU and RAM on board at the time are fried also? (please god, no)

3) Whats the chances that the 'one year back-to-base' warranty covers idiots like me frying a motherboard?

I'd be inclined to see if the power LED lights up. connect it if you havn't already
I have no Idea if what you've could actually blow your mobo. But look for signs of life.
LED, Floppy LED, fans. Anything. I'm only knew to this so I probably haven't helped much, but its a start i guess.

HEY,make sure you have your jumpers set properly.black screen does not = death.try unplugging everything but your video card.this means hard drives ,floppy drives,sound ,modem,all peripherals.double check that you have the proper jumper settings for both the voltage and cpu frequency.then see if you get a video signal.A black screen is a common indication of improper settings,this does not mean your board is fried.BTW,how the H... did you connect your power con. backwards?lol.just kidding some at conn dont have keyed slots.

YOU DIDN'T SAY IF YOUR MB HAS ONBOARD VIDEO.
IF IT DOES-YOU MUST PLUG YOUR SDRAM INTO DIMM SLOT #1.I DNOW HOW YOU FEEL-I FRIED AN AMPTRON 9100 BOARD THIS MORNING. CANT RUN A
K6 2.2 VOLT CPU ON THE 2.8 VOLT SETTING.
SENT MORE INFO ON BOARD TYPE-CPU-MEMORY-VIDEO.
