That's what I want to do. I receive some space on my isp's server but i don't know the first thing about designing them. Do I have to learn HTML or something? Can some one give me some suggestions or point me in the right direction. Thanks.

You can create entry level web pages using microsoft publisher or frontpage. They don't reguire that you know html. You can create better webpages using adobe go live or dreamweaver. You can even save word and excel documents as html if you like. You are limited with this, but it is a start.

the best idea is to learn HTML. even if you do use FrontPage or DreamWeaver or whatever, being able to customize your pages is very nice.

a nice place to learn would be here (http://www.ncsa.uiuc.edu/General/Internet/WWW/HTMLPrimerPrintable.html). there are many other sites to learn at. someone else can fill in here (as i don't know many).

I am pretty experienced in it, so i can help you by e-mail or a post or whatever if you want.

I'd suggest starting out with FrontPage if you don't wanna spend any money. I'm not sure if there are any other free ones that are good for beginners, but others may.

so, good luck in starting out! and just post back if you need any more help or insight or really anything!

There's a topic called HTML??? about 20 posts above yours..This (http://********tingstarted.net/) is one, and here's (http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/) another of the websites mentioned in that thread.

http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/html3/chapter/ch05.html
http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/dhtmlref/sample_chpt/dhtml_sample.html

Both are excellent books on the topic of HTML. O'Reilly offers many other books as well as many books on cd (Perl set, etc).

I think this post has been well covered but if you need to learn HTML then all you need is the links above.
I'm still learning (but too busy at the momment) but within a few hours i had my site up and running and all i used was ********tingstarted.net (http://********tingstarted.net) and links and advice provided by sysopt members.
There are some really great tutorials that take you through step by step and even if you don't understand there's always forums where people will give help and advice.
Good luck with it and don't forget to let us know when your ready to show your work.
