The Clinton admin. has been trying to send Elian back to Cuba for some time now. The other day, a deadline was reached for his return. Not more than a couple days later, Algore announces that he wants to keep Elian in the U.S. Algore here to save the day. Remember that Algore is a part of the Clinton Admin. Did the Clinton admin. plan to keep him all along? Now, who is playing politics?

I really don't keep up with politics that much, but from what I have seen, Al Gore is one of the dumbest people on this planet.

Actually, I think he is tied for dumbest.
"W" giving him good competition in the
dum-dum department. (IMO)

Hard to believe, out of all the millions of people in this country the choice comes down to them. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

Dave, with all due respect, I can't see anyone dumber than Al Gore. Imagine someone that in all likelyhood doesn't know truth from fiction and even has a better chance of believing and supporting fiction as truth than truth itself. That would be Al Gore.

No, whatever George W. is (and I'd reckon it's not bad), he isn't even in the same league as Al Gore. As much as I didn't like Clinton for his slick, wishy-washy, self-serving politics, Al Gore has always scared me even more. George W. would be WAY WAY WAY better than Al Gore in the presidency, and the country would certainly better for it.

How good George W. would be remains to be seen (and there are elections every 4 years after all), but rest assured Al Gore would seriously suck.

Oh well, everyone is entilted to an opinion.
I expressed mine, and will not come back with any "I told you so" if and when my I.Q. predictions become true. I hope your right http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

edit- I was a strong McCain supporter, and now feel like it's a choice of picking the lesser of two evils -edit

dave_H I agree 100%! Of a population of 250 million, you'd think there would be someone capable. Keyes looked good, but I guess the party machine ground him up and spat him out. McCain inspired people, but anything that rocks the boat is jumped on as subversive and anti-American (of all the things one could call McCain - that has to be the dumbest).
Al Gore doesn't impress me, if only because I can't understand his speeches as he normally has at least one of his feet in his mouth. As for Bush, that drug accusation will come back to haunt him (maybe hookers and coke in the Oval Office - anything Bill can do, he can do better? http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif). The only benefit of Bush getting elected, is that he doesn't know where the rest of the world is, so hopefully he'll leave us alone.

Too bad we didn't get to see a race between Al Gore and Dan Quayle. Both of them have provided so much entertainment with their escapades. Creator-of-the-Internet vs Potatoe Man.

I agree with all who say Algore is an idiot. One of the biggest idiots in all history. G.W. is the man. I like his character and his position on many issues. I especially like the fact that many issues he will leave up to the states to decide. The federal gevernment has too much control as it is.

I agree with Barry Glisson. The kid would have been sent packing before he got wet had he been one of "those!"! If INS has final jurisdiction, heed their decision and follow the rule of law, PERIOD. As far as Bush & Gore are concerned, I disagree with the Gore naysayers. At least Gore has original ideas. Bush is simply a shell that the GOP wheeled out in an attempt to get a Republican in the White House. He doesn't come close to G.B., Sr. Everytime a question of import is put to him, I suspect he wets his pants. Okay, enough about politics. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Gore? Origonal ideas? Tax and tax and tax and tax and spend wastefully and tax and tax and make more government programs and tax and make more government programs and lie and lie and lie isn't too original. (IMHO) http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Alan keyes is the only sane one.

My opinion on the elian gonzalez situation is this: It is our policy to send all illegal immigrants who are caught in open waters to be sent back to cuba, why is this any different, sned him back.

I really bothers me to see you saying bad things about The Father of the Internet

Where would we be without him?
