My question is that does the all in one video cards work better than a seperate video card with a tv card? I'm being ask if it's a good idea to go with the all in wonder ddr 32mb, with a 21 inch screen? The problem is that my friends 8mb card can't handle the large screen without distorting it at high settings. Or is it a safer bet to go with the Geforce pro 64mb to play it safe and get the tv card later?

IMO, get the Geforce now and the tv card later, Although you would waste a slot, its more convience when you want to upgrade later. If you don't mind a cheap one, you can get a Hauppauge WinTV-GO (I currently have that) or the ATI AIW VE for about $50.

Are those only with pci slots or do they make both?

If you want a lot more features than just TV out, the AIW Radeon is by far the best card that can be had. You need to read about this card. If you just want TV out, find yourself a Voodoo 3-3000 w/TV out, that will give you TV out with no frills and a good screen too.
