I am wondering how to get my system to use 4X AGP with my Radeon VE. My ECS K7VZA and the Radeon both claim to support it. Currently it is in 2X AGP mode.

There should be an option in the BIOS to enable 4X AGP transfers. Look in your user manual...

Install VIA 4in1 pack using "turbo" mode when it installs GART.

The bios is set to 4x AGP transfers. I guess I'll d/l the latest drivers soon.

None of you mentioned the obvious, though: make sure you're running 98se or XP, since NT/2K only support 2x.

I'm running win98se. It's not big of a deal anyways. I think that games run as well as can be expected for a 750 duron, or are 4x agp transfers much faster than 2x?

When I forgot to enable AGP 4x on my Abit KT7A/1GHz T-Bird/GF2Pro, I got 3020 3DMarks instead of 3140 with AGP 4x (3DMark2001)

download pc cihps mb807 bios mine runs better then ever one draw back make shure you dont put any ram in slot 0 1 and 2 work fine this is the way to go
