I've used Frontpage 2000 for my website.
And it just doesn't have the flashy niceness that I see on many other websites. Does anyone know of any web building programs that are quite cool. Should I also check into a image manipulator too?
FP2000 and MS Image Composer just aint cuttin' it.

you could try dreamweaver to create the pages and some flash to create animations...i have to warn you that learning both of them does take some serious time though...
If you need any information about Web building then you should start here:

One of the best places you can get information about Web building + software + much much more

I've been using this one so far, it's great because it works with you: there are beginner-expert levels based on how much HTML u know, try it (it's FREE): http://www.evrsoft.com/1stpage/

Yeah, I've had a look at that Macromedia stuff - it looks good, but time consuming to master. You can download 30day trials from:
http://www.macromedia.com/
The stuff ain't cheap IF you want to buy it..

If you've got the time I suggest investing in a copy of HTML4.0, XML, Java1.2 Platinum Edition from Que books. I've had considerable success implementing its information in both Windows Notepad and Pico.

First Page from Evrsoft is a great app, and it's free. The downside is you have to know HTML to do it, and some of the tags that it puts in automatically for you are wrong...
