For $150, you got a good deal.Samsung makes good monitors at all sizes.

I love it. I bought the 955DF about 3-4 months ago, haven't had a problem with it. And it set up without a problem.
Only drawback to the monitor is its bulky size. Other than this, its a great monitor.
What bites is when I bought mine it was $350 w/ a $50 MIR through Samsung.

I'm in the same shoes at Imperion, paid $300 after rebate, but I still love this monitor.
Don't worry about the "hot electronics" smell when you first start it up, it goes away after a few days. (burn in?) http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
The performance and pic quality is great! I like watching DVDs on my computer more than on my 32" TV, the picture quality is that much better! (got surround sound on both, so that don't matter)

Another reason why I had to buy the Samsung 955DF, use for DVD w/ software decoder.
Didn't want to install the decoder card and waste a pci slot.
Also, my last monitor was a 15" Proview, color depth was too dark.
If I had the money right now, I'd buy another Samsung 955DF monitor. And then rebuild my Tbird 750, Abit kt7 raid system.

$150??????????? I HATE YOU are you serious ITS WORTH THE WAIT. sorry bout caps. now i can take a breath. any way im typing this right now on that monitor. i love this monitor. i bought it cause my 15" died, and i found my self watching DVDs on the 15" instead of on my 25" tv (tv output) cause it looked soooo much better on a monitor. any way i bought a 19" NEC multisync, then returned the monitor (that i did like) for the samsung Im sooo glad i did if you got it for 150 i would wait 3 months for it easily.
edit:
ok so respect to you for finding it at dell for that i went to the dell web site and found it for $273
heres the link http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.asp?Sku=789460%2D4&spagenum=5&category_id=207&keyword=&mnf=&prst=0&prend=0&mnfsku=&orderby=manufacturer%2Cname&SearchType=&customer _id=&Pageb4Search=&page=search%2Easp
and considering I got the same deal as Imperion1 and thought i was doing well that would be good too oh well. my opinion still stands, good job

Thanks batjeep, I found out about the deal in PC steals and deals on this site, if it weren't for Richard Cranium I wouldn't ever find out about this great deal, thanks Doc http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif. Anyways Samsung still has a $50 mail in rebate for this monitor at their site, www.samsungmonitor.com (http://www.samsungmonitor.com) http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif.

The syncmaster 950p is better , that's what I use, but it is a big monitor. But the size gives you the best performance and the monitor has huge cooling sides. Works perfect, I payed $300 about 7 months ago.

What so good about the 950P, it has lower DPI, .20 on the 955DF and .26 on the 950P, also it's not a flat screen so what's so good about it?
