Is 68Hz enough for a 19" monitor? I'm talking about the Samsung 955df.

Hawkeye178 Imperion1 08-14-2001, 04:52 PM 75Hz would be better @ 1024x768. At least thats what I run my 955DF at. What resolution are you trying to use? conjh13 08-14-2001, 06:42 PM It depends. Does it give you a headache to look at your screen running at 68 Hz? On mine, I generally don't like anything less than 80 Hz, as anything less does in fact give me a headache. Kruzin 08-14-2001, 07:26 PM Generally 75Hz is the minimum concidered "flicker free". Like conjh13, I can't take anything less than 80Hz for any extended periods without eye strain and headaches... patrickp 08-14-2001, 08:58 PM hey hawkeye, got the same monitor and vidcard. can't get over the 68 herz without flicker. seems to be very strange, the most lately nvidia drivers take my monitor back to 60 herz and work fine. as soon as i start to set to higher herz it's flickering again. the best config was the 6.5 hercules drivers from their site running win 98. got win2k now and they don't work. still clueless, pat Hawkeye178 08-14-2001, 10:29 PM I don't have the monitor yet, I'm still waiting for the darn thing to come in http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif, I was just wondering if it was enough. I'll probably run it at 1024x768. Hawkeye178 SysOpt.com
