3dfx card question

I have a question, i have this 3dfx card and i think it's a voodoo 2, but i'm not sure, so i checked the card and there was a fcc id on it, so i checked it on some fcc id search engine but they all say that it;s not a vailid fcc id, or it's to old for the search engine, what can i do?

the fcc id : ICUVGA-GW803

there is also a line beneath it with:

P/N: 9803-00

please help me out with this

If it has 2 VGA connectors on the back of it, it's a voodoo2, those used a pass through cable, it used the reg. vid card for 2D, and the voodoo card for 3D. If not, it could be a voodoo3 possibly, since 3dfx is gone, it is hard to find support for the cards, and part numbers... good luck!

2 VGA connectors doesn't mean it's a V2. It could be a V1.

How many big chips marked 3Dfx are there ? If one, then it's a V1, if 2, it's a V2.

Actually i think there would be 3 chips marked 3dfx on a voodoo2, i've got 2 of them in my box, but can't be bothered to open it up http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Almost 100% certain there are 3 big chips marked 3dfx.

I finally found a fcc search engine who found it, it's a dragon voodoo 2.

Well I also have a voodoo2 3D FX card, I wanted to know that I am facing some wierd graphical problems in FF8. I see horizontal lines in the text of the game or sometimes the graphics are totally retorted and patchy

Maybe the game uses some features that the card isn't able to handle!!!

The game works well on my computer (at least the game demo) with a current video card.!
