Dxr2 extension cable

Hallo I read that I can use a normal S-video cable with my dxr2 if I cut the plastic tab that does not allow me to plug it in the dxr2, has anyone already tried it? Does it work?

Yes this does work Devilman, use a pair of needle nose pliers to (carefully) snap off the tab, and TADAA! there's your cable. Miles better than the stubby one that comes with the card.
