Winreg is small program(21KB) that does it very easily. Here is a link where you can download it. www.annoyances.org/win95/win95ann2.html#13 (http://www.annoyances.org/win95/win95ann2.html#13) It also tells you how to do it using a registry editor.

An intrepid person could change that info using regedit. If you have never used regedit, this wouldn't be a bad place to start. I'd suggest doing a search for the name or part of the name it is currently registered to then changing it. Be very careful running regedit though. You can permanently damage your windows install. Do a little research first and backup your registry first and know how to restore it. I've never caused an irreversible problem that I didn't want to http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif but your mileage may vary.

Hey you ought to try out winboost. It does this plus many many other tweaks to win95 or 98, including, renaming the start button, putting special folders into quicklaunch and start menu, has several speed tweaks, and enhancements, it's a demo only, but I set what I want, and then uninstall, and it all sticks like you set it...even has cool shutdown icon that you can use to turn the computer off w/ just one click ehhe
