win2k+nvidia gf 2 mx driver

hey man,
downloaded the detonater 12.41 and 12.40.
screen flickers with both of them.
it's a hercules.2mx.
what to do?
are there any setting to fix that?

I don't know but I would suspect either Vsync has been disabled or your refresh rates have been knocked down to 60Hz. I'm guessing it's the refresh rates.

I don't know the technicalities of Vsync (vertical sync). I just know that it prevents tearing (where the screen updates in seperate chunks. most noticable on sideways scrolling).

It doesn't sound like a refresh rate problem then (have you checked all the refresh rates at all resolutions? On mine, when I install vid card drivers, I have to set the refresh rate for every resolution, in both 16bit and 32bit).
