only on this computer i have to enter my user name and password in this forum. when i click submit a window pops up that says that is not the password in auto complete do i want to change it. worked fine this am. also may not be related if i click on the email icon for some one on this board a window pops up asking if i want to download some program i dont remember what it is right now ive just going straight to my email. thanks barry

From the SysOpt FAQ:

Cookies
This bulletin board uses cookies to store the following information: the last time you logged in, your username and password, and your preferred "topic view", if you set it in preferences. These cookies are stored on your browser. Cookies are not used to track your movement or perform any function other than to enhance your use of the bulletin board.

If your browser does not support cookies, or you have not enabled cookies on your browser, many of these time-saving features will not work properly. Also, you need to have cookies enabled in your browser if you want to enter a private forum.

You may delete all cookies set in this forum by visiting the "preferences" area of the forum and selecting the "delete cookies" link.


And/or try this:

Go up and click on PREFERENCES and click on the line that says CLICK HERE TO DELETE COOKIES SET BY THIS FORUM.

Then come back to the Preferences and choose your settings and then click submit and it will install and new UNcorrupted cookie.

ihave reset through my profile as long as i dont shut the computer off everything is stored as it should be. if i restart i have to logon . i know its not sysopt because my other computer is not affected.thanks barry

Barry,

One thing that caught my eye is you say everything is fine until you RESTART you machine. Do you by chance have any "cookie washer" software or have you changed your browsers settings to CLEAR history/cookies when booting up?

i have only 95c and ie5.o1. no other soft ware.thanks barry
