I liked the Gainward card, looks good with the bright red PCB and HS/F. High quality RAM which has been overclocking quite well for people and it still has a good feature set like DVI, TV-OUt and a few others.

I'm buying the ASUS V8200 deluxe. It's not the cheapest ($380 newegg.com) but it has Composite+SVideo inputs and 3d glasses.

If ATi R200 won't be faster then GeForce3, then I'd go for V8200 Deluxe too, coz of 3D glasses http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

ya, but has any one SEEN the 3D Prophet 3 for sale in any stores.. Thats the Card that I would really like, or the elsa gladiac 920, i cant make up my mind.. If Creative would come out with the 3D Blaster Annihilator 3 in a hurry... i would buy that one..

Elsa has always made some good boards and very often they come with a good bundle (I think this card even comes with GIANTS:Citizen Kabuto--great game, great graphics). And in the box there's even a freebie mousepad.!!!

Go with bundle, with speed and features.!!

Thats a special GF3 enhanced version of Giantz too. The Asus card would be the most feature packed but the Elsa Gladiac seems to be the fastest slightly.

The R200 looks very promising but isn't due till september http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif It's supposedly going to be faster than a GF3 and have a Smartshader.

There is a hi-performance version of GF3 I have seen, but can't remember the name of it.

It has COPPER heatsinks, increased clock speeds and generally is touted as the worlds fastest.

I saw some people were running it at 300/600...if that isn't amazing!

Tom had no mention of any such thing...but I did see it.

Maybe it was the PRO or ULTRA version which will eventually be released. The current one is really the GF3 GTS so higher performance ones are due to come soon. Should be interesting to see what they'd do to keep a GF3 MX cheap. It'll probaly be a while though, though they were still having yield problems with the current core speeds and standard, maybe they're picking out the best quality cores and stockpiling them for such cards.

MIlking the cow.. MIlking the cow.!! If Nvidia is going with this trend, I'll never buy a videocard from them again.! Imagine...
GeForce 3 MX, GeForce 3 MX200, GeForce 3 MX400, GeForce 3 Pro, GeForce 3 Ultra... and let's not forget the different versions (the ones with tv/out, twinview, etc..)... That would suck.!

BBA, the one you're talking about is made by OCZ and 3DChipset.

I suppose many different versions aren't bad for a enthusiast/proffessional but for the average Joe it does get hard for them to differentiate between them. I doubt they'll put another MX200/400 though, they kind of put themselves in a hole where the standard MX was still too costly for low-end machines, I think the MX400 was mainly just to make the Standard MX seem newer. Then again we could end up with Pro 200/400 and ULTRA 200/400 http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
Sure it's annoying but they got in the position there in now due to making good products and the GF3 for example is an excellent product, just too expensive for anyone but enthusiast with jobs. Us jobless student enthusiast have to make do...I don't think I'd boycott them but right now I prefer the alternatives anyway.
