and the bag is getting full. some of you all know I spend(16/18) hrs. a day of the web. on my birthday. I got me a pool cleaning service to replace the painting & lawn service I sold.
so, now my web time and pc service is limited to evenings and soforth. I work 7 stright and off two"on call" and than do it again.

so, what dose this have to do with popcorn popping. well, almost ever topic here lately has a few that will pop in with imput.
that has nothing to do with the topic at hand. or to maybe critize a price quote or a item for sale. it dosen't make sence to me.
I hate to have to read a bunch of nonesence to get to the point of the topic. that is why we have this topic section of the bbs.

and I would respond with I try to. that is why I don't post unless I see fit to. I keep my thoughts to myself unless it concerns me or a trade of mine.than I'm very short on it.
I act like this is my first time here and look at the post and take it from there. and sometimes I do want to move on or say something back.
but, I just keep my mouth shut. until now. and the thing of changeing username and e-mails.
that is a joke. you give yourself away by the way you say things. and a person that uses this bbs alot can see tho it. so, what I'm trying to say is this.
the person on the other end dosen't know you. and may take it the wrong way or dosen't understand what you are trying to say. and sometimes they may feel like they are being put on trial or punished for there questions or answers
and than we have lost another possiabley great family member. or worse yet. they take there items to another board or there user time. and than they comment on the way they were treated.
or "how they thought they were treated" from the responces they recieved here.
and than we all lose. and so why not treat everyone with the same effects we want to feel ourselves. and act like we are adults and not school kids away from our mom and dads. to prove my point.
sign on like you have never been here before and just read some of the post answers and see if you want to join this bbs of ours.
I hope, I didn't push anyones keys to hard here. I just had to express my outlook on this.
and for the record,I do keep copies of everything that pretains to me on a triple backup system I have used for years. so, I can always backup what I say and do.
so we have 7393 members now. I'll notifie my mail server and tell them to expect 7392 hate e-mails. he he

I see you point Gene C. but the way i see sysopt isn't just as a place to get help with computer problems but as a community of friends with a common interest and it's always nice to get some feedback from a post even if it doesn't really help much.

Well for one just go over to the User to User, Biz to Biz, Product Exchange forum and you will see some of what he is talking about.
I think it is pitiful that people keep telling other people their prices are to high. If you have an offer to make then make it if not don't post that the price is to high.
This will run some users off. Just because someone post a price of say $200 it does not mean that they will not take $150 for it. It is a common practice for many people to set a asking price higher than what they really want. Just like buying a car.

I agree with your assessment, the only thing I disagree about is that the wee ones who fly the coop cause they can't take the heat are coddled at other bbs's by members who are like themselves.. I mean, if you entitled to go around acting like Mr. Tough Guy, "mess with me and die", then I'm entitled to act like a jerk and despise you. I think it's mostly because of your arrogance. I just can't understand why some people think they can thumb their noses up to everyone and the world. Of course, I've struggled all my life with a lower-class lifestyle, confused by the actions of higher class people, but that's completely beside the point.
I think the my disgusted hatred for you comes from a old computer science teacher I had once. He acted the exact same way you do, and everyday I had to sit through listening to him brag about his money, job, sons, you name it. I finally got fed up with him and told him how I felt, peacefully and respectfully. Needless to say, I felt better, but he made each day with him a living hell.
Well, in the spirit of getting to the point, here it is. I love this BBS, and all of the people the post here. I've seen this group of guys/gals help out in more than ways than just strictly computers. It's like one big family, but just like a family, you aren't exactly going to get along with everyone all the time. Sometimes people say some dumb and pointless things (this post for example) but it's all the same in the end. Please remember, sometimes I know it's hard for people to comprend, IT'S JUST A MESSAGE BOARD! Don't make it your life and take everything so seriously. and I do not turn my nose up to the world or think I'm better than others. if they got off there easy chair. and worked like I do. even if it is for friends or the general public.
like doing what they consider below there standards. because they do have "pride" and won't be seen working for others. because they make enought money to pay someone like me to do it for them.
and as far as your science teacher. expressing his outlooks about his rewards and family. I think he was just trying to tell you what you would have. if you followed in his footsteps. or what you wouldn't have if you waited for someone to give it to you.

I am not going to take sides here, I have had no dealings with Gene other than to see the occasional post of his - most of which have indeed been informing us of his many jobs/activities and apparently complaining about his treatment at the "keyboards" of others:
I had thought to add a light bit of humor to this thread with the "popcorn" image, but now at the risk of having my own reply become a "flame" I would have to say I am leaning toward the side of (not the style of) oxOGradiusOxo because I am beginning to see enough HOT AIR here to pop quite a few kernels. oxOGradiusOxo is still young and perhaps lacks the tact that many years more experience might bring (but he is still entitled to his opinion)- he has somewhat of an excuse for his youthful exuberance and babble about school and such things - all kids do. What is an adult's excuse?
And most of all, we are all perfectly capable of reading the dictionary for ourselves and also applying the rules of semantics in our own manipulative ways as we twist them.

also, I started this post to show how members were treating each other. I, in no way wanted the post to be about myself. or the way I was being treated. I started it out like that to prove what I saw. and to get the ball rolling.
and have proven my point. that people will reply with a answer. that has nothing to do with the question at hand. and will comment with critisime or like wise. and when this happens. do as I did. find a way to settle it without harsh imputs.
if you will read my opening post and a few replies there after. you will see my point. the answers were directed to my question
and than the same thing happened, I was talking about began. as with the other post section question and answers.
and I felt like, if I did this post you could direct some of your inputs toward me. and not the other members. and really see what you were sometimes doing.
and it dosen't matter to me what others have or don't have. as long as, I have what makes me happy and you the same.
so, I ask for you to do me one favor. sign on and come to this topic. and read it real slowly. and write down or note what I was saying or trying to say in my opening statemant.
and compare it with the replies that follow. and you will also, see my point at hand. or just compair my topic title to the tanslation meaning of it. and everything I said. has happened here.
