I have an intel BX based MB........and I am running windows 98......I already have 128 megs or really nice good ram that will do 150............but I have an oppertunity to get some more ram for a steal of a price.........the stick is 64 megs, and of good quality......
What kind of performance boost will it give me?

What applications will benefit from it most?

Should I even bother?

What is your favorite movie?

Will games perform better, such as UT?

I've got a BX board and I added another 64mb to my 128mb and I have not noticed one bit of difference and I use it for gaming a lot http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I added a 128MB to my system total 256MB and I DO NOT NOTICE A DIFFERENCE!! man what a waste of money. I was told apps would load and run faster but i really can't see a difference.

If you get it for a steal (~$30) do it. It does little in Win98SE (Which is enroute as we speak to P-town, NC). In other OSes it will be utilized better. I have 196 in one system and 128 n the other. It makes a small difference (SMALL), but if it is for a very small price, go ahead.
