Are NEC's good monitors?

I'm Looking for a monitor and I already have an NEC and to me it seems like a good monitor, but it's kinda old and I was wonderingwhat the new ones were like?

what i meant was that it was a very general question - "are NEC's good monitors?"

I think they are one of the best out there. I have one NEC monitor since like 1996 (or something) and it is still alive and kicking.!

the only problem i've noticed it that some tend to become quite blurry as they get older. It's not that bad but it's very anoying.

i also have a fe 700, and like it alot. you say your is from 1997, what model ?. because your question is "are the new ones better". the newer ones are flat screen or aperature grill to be technical..if yours isnt, then you may notice a big difference. depending on what model your upgrading from..

NEC does make good monitors, some would say they make better monitors than Sony. they've been around a while. here's a link: http://www.necmitsubishi.com/products/index.cfm?url=home/intro.cfm check out the Multisync FE+ series and the FP series. FP being the more expensive, but is the more professional line(for graphic work).
