I plan on buying an ABIT KT7A M/B w/1.2 T-Bird. The AGP port on the M/B is 4X and I have a 3DFX Voodoo3 2000 2X video card which I don't want to replace immediately. Is a 4X AGP port downward compatible with a 2X video card? Thanks

yes the card will work fine in the 4x Slot.

Your Agp slot is compatible to either 1, 2 or 4x.
