Anyone know of one? I've got a Radeon 32DDR card and I'm looking for a card to receive a TV signal from cable. Any suggestions? I've read some things about ATI's cards not working in Win2K.

RobRich 05-09-2001, 04:28 PM Hauppauge's WinTV and Pinnacle System's StudioTV offer good quality Win2k drivers, plus each offer great solutions for under $100. Check out this link: http://www.pinnaclesys.com Good Luck, Robert Richmond Sixpac 05-10-2001, 05:34 PM I have been using the Hauppauge WinTV PCI card / with IR remote in my Win2K system for about 4 months now and no problems at all. great card and mine also has FM stereo and DBX audio on it.... Good product and I highly recommend it. Also their tech support emailed me back when I asked some basic questions. Nuff said! gyoung 05-11-2001, 08:05 AM Good to hear that someone is doing this. What model is it and where did you buy it from? Thanks! AuraEdge 05-11-2001, 01:45 PM I have a Hauppauge Win-TV D, and a Pinnacle PCTV Pro. They both have remotes, and they both work under Win2K. I prefer the Pinnacle to the Hauppauge because the it has better image quality, and the software is much easier to use, including selectable "Always on top" so you can surf and have TV as your background. You cant do that with the Hauppauge. Also, you cant have any resolution higher than 640x480 on the Hauppauge unless you go full screen. On the pinnacle, you can use any resolution, and it doesnt resize your screen for fullscreening. Pinnacle's Win2k support is off the CD. Hauppauges is off thier website. Witht he Pinnicle, I sometimes get this error when I shut off the TV, but if you just press OK it goes away. It doesnt affect anything, but its a small nuisance. THe pinnicle is in my Win2k machine right now, and I rented out my Hauppauge to the kid down the hall in my dorm who doesnt have a TV. cmstoelb 05-11-2001, 01:47 PM I have an All-In-Wonder and it works great. valachimus 05-22-2001, 02:54 PM Many times it's the bios that cause problems for tv cards -- they won't allow bus mastering, and will cause lockups in windows. Make sure you have a mb that will allow bus mastering before you spend any $. SysOpt.com
