All I can say is go as high as you can go, Overclock that sucker to the max.

Basicallly play around with the settings and find the point as high as you can go where you have good stability and no presence of artifacts.

Are you sure you got GF2 PRO ??? Usual settings for PRO card is 200/400, maybe you underclocked yours by mistake ?
What card do you have ? Usually, you can try getting upto 220/450, without additional cooling installed, but be careful, if you noticing glitches/unusual artifacts - turn the clock down a bit ...

jaida:

Thx for your response... I'll play with the settings "a bit."

ND:

I am about positive I do, unless GTS / Pro means one OR the other. When I first looked at Coolbits Hardware settings, it was set at 200/133. Thx.

Fellow Members:

I installed 3DCool software and am able to change my nVidia GeForce2 GTS Pro hardware settings for oc'ing. I'm curious: With my defaults being 200 core clock frequency and memory frequency set at 333, how high should I go? What guidelines should I use other than "trial and error" to set these values?

Thx!

I usually boost the speed in 5MHz increments. My Hercules GF2 card hit 245 core and somewhere around 380 with enough memory cooling.

Thx for your results. I'll be leaving mine at defailt temporarily and just slightly oc'ing my cpu to 1.46 GHz. I'm making WAY to many "tweaks" and not writing down what I did! But I'll get back to it. I'm scoring around 3200 on Mark3D2001.

Thx, jaida! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif

I really appreciate the compliment and for most of my major components I researched like crazy. The rest was probably luck! There comes a point where you just got to make a choice and stop agonizing over the decision, like Iwill vs Abit mobos or AMD vs Intel processors. I'd never had an AMD before and they are fun and a challenge!
