Here's what I got:
P3-500e@733 133fsb
Soyo 6vba133@133 w/sloket (no 4x AGP)
256mb Infineon@133 cas2
Prophet 256 sdr @110/135
WD 20gb. ATA66
Modified Inwin Q500n w/fans
ORB vid and CPU HS/Fans

I don't think this system is fast enough for the next generation of vid cards,so what do you think I should get of the best,(now that prices are falling) to match this system?

Geforce Pro or KyroII. You can always keep them for your next system.

I have an Athlon 750, 196mb mem and a Geforce 256 SDR and everything still works fine for me. I think I'll buy one of the next generation videocards (Geforce 3/Radeon 2). There's just too little performance increase with the videocards out now (I know cos my brother has a Geforce 2 GTS). Also there's no difference in graphics.

Barney- Are you saying our CPU's will not bog down with the new geforce3/radeon2 cards?

They will at low resolutions, but you'll be over 200fps http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif. At high resolutions usually the graphics card it the bottle neck.

How much do you want to spend? And look at the resolutions your monitor can handle. If you're not going too high there is no point uprading now. My MX is holding up great to the current games.

800Bird, Geforce2MX, 262 Infineon, Asus A7V, win2k....

I'm sorry, I think I misunderstood you. It happens. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

I'm getting a Tbird 1@1.2ghz in a few days, so that'll "match" the next generation videocards. Now is a good time to upgrade, the prices of the Tbirds drop every day. A socket A mainboard plus Tbird 1.33ghz processor would cost a little over $300.
