ok this is annoying the heck outta me. im getting these video glitches when there is a lot of action on the screen. like when im scrolling a web page ill get these lines that appear then go away, it looks like there is a ripple in the web page. this happens even worse when i play a game, or watch a dvd movie....the faster the action the glitchier it gets.

heres my specs:
duron 700@1000
asus a7v(rev 1.04)
kingston value pc100 96mbs ram(one 64, one 32)
ati all-in-wonder 128 pro
sb live! value
linksys 10/100
hp 9100 cd writer
maxtor 12.1gb hd
running win2000 pro

this glitch wasnt here when i was running win98, but when i switched to 2k it appeared. i really want to keep 2k(as i find it t be much faster and stable than 98), but i need to get this problem resolved.

ive tried two drivers from ati(one tested and supported, other in beta), both had the same results.

if anyone has any input on this it would be greatly appreciated. is there possibly any bios tweaks that could affect this? or is it something to do with win2k?

Could be refresh rate related. Go to http://hem.passagen.se/doxx and get the latest version of HZ tool. After installing it go to "moniter settings" and it will tell you the fastest refresh rate at the current resulution. Then set your moniter close to that.

You can do it manually in Win2k
Go to Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced -> Monitor, and pick a Refresh frequency lower than what you got currently to do what Bob the Great suggested

I don't think thats the problem however. It sounds more like a Video card Driver or heat issue. If its a driver issue, you have done all you can by trying all the drivers you can use with it in Win2k. I don't think its a heat issue because it worked fine in Win98.
Generally, if something works in Win98 flawlessly, and then acts funny in Win2k without any changed settings, then its a driver issue. Give the refresh rate thing a shot. It cant hurt lowering the refresh rate.
