They're claiming to see a 50% increase in performance with these beta drivers (on an intel P4 system)....I wonder how it would work for an athlon.

They are made for DX8. X.XX are made for DX7. So yes they give you much better performance in 3Dmark2k1 for an obvious reason. I don't think I gained anything in OpenGL, but I'll check.

Yup, no change in fps in Q3A as opposed to 6.5s or lower.
