wondering if anyone gets these blackice warnings......my cable provider is @home rogers in ontario:

1)NNTP port probe by authorized-scan.security.home.net at least 4 times a day

2)whenever i run Neo-Trace since version 1.9.24 it gives me an echo reply with a 79 severity level for every ip on the trace

3)DNS non-internet lookup from fes-d005.icq.aol.com

just wondering if anyone else get these warnings constantly........thanks

The NNTP Trace from @home happens to everyone.

I log about 16 hits a day from them. When I sent a complaint to Abuse, their reply was, they are scanning within their network to be sure that nobody is running server services.

Ummm yah, I don't like it but what can you do.

You may want to check this out. I think that you can set B-I to stop giving warnings for certain things that happen frequently, but it will still block them.

This page gives the numbers of the intrusions to use, nntp probe would be 2003010.
