Right now I have a Dual PII 400 machine with a HP 8200i cdrw, 256 megs ram, and a 20.5 gig 7200 rpm wester digital drive, a 20.4 gig 5400 rpm western digital drive, and a 20.5 7200rpm maxtor drive. I was wondering if there are any raid cards for my machine that would let me group them together? My machine doesn't work with ATA/UDMA 66 speeds, so I guess using that little fix technique wouldnt help me out (or will those cards WORK at 33 instead of 66??).
Any suggesntions? grouping those together would be great.
I am using Windows 2000 pro (sometimes win98 when i feel like rebooting to it) on an Epox KP6-BS motherboard (Dual BX).
Thanks,
Paul C

Soopa, Right now I'm running ATA33 drives in my converted ultra66/fastrak66 controller and they are working just fine. I ended up having to do this as my wholesaler ended up backordering 2 of the 7200rpm/27gig/2meg cache drives that I had ordered. So right now I'm running 2 old 850meg quantum's in raid 0 (striped). I just couldnt wait to try out the card as both Bdog and I wanted to see how well the installs would go on our BP6 duallies. All I can say is IT ROCKS and I can just bet it's REALLY going to ROCK when the other HD's arrive.

Michael-
I think you would benefit the most from the little hacked ATA66 card-to-raid controller that is on the how-to article on the frontpage. then you could run yer smaller drives as one larger one. check out the article.
I have a link for the software at my office. Its called something like Big disk, but i from what is seems to me, it doesn't quite work like what I want it too.
