I get the jist of it, becasue I am in grade 9, and I took spanish 9 last term, so I know whhat some of the words are.

The reason the transltion programs do not work well is because spanish is the oppisit of english. The subject always comes first if I remember right. It has been only 29 years since my last spanish class so I am not quite sure.

No sé español. Mis padres me movieron arriba de Brownsville, TX cuando i era unas semanas viejo. Pero yo tiene Spanish Assistant Deluxe.

I think babelfish works better than most - it's fine for getting the "gist" of another language, but don't expect poetry out of it.

I use it to translate articles in other languages on news sites, works very well for that because respected news providers tend to use formal and regular styles - colloquialisms tend to break it. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

Good luck in your studies zzzreyes, you got further than me in any other language (we gave our German teacher a nervous breakdown)
