I got a piii 933 for my comp and moved the partsold parts (creative banshee & pii 400 with iwill mb/appolo chipset frm it to another computer, it worked fine for a few days, but now the computer will boot up as i can hear the windows startup sound but the screen is blank, i can get the startup screen but after that the monitor light goes to 'off' color, so i pluged in my old virge and managed to get it to work, tried a few more times and i'm stuck with the virge,
not only that when i added both cards the computer detected the banshee as 4mb ram??
i got new drivers but it did'nt solve the problem
Any ideas on how to solve this prob???
When i tried CS it could'nt run in Opengl mode, even with new drivers, Advise,

The creative drivers are considerably older than the 3dfx refrence drivers. Remember when 3dfx bought STB to build their own video cards and compete with creative? Well creative returned the favor by ceasing support for their own Banshee card.

Use the latest refrence drivers from 3dfx and try flashing your bios with the latest files from creative. Don't forget to use the latest drivers from VIA. Also, I've found the card suffers from inadequate cooling. Screwing on a small fan helps alot.

Bills workshop was a great help when I had problems setting up my sister's Creative Banshee and K6-450/VIA MVP3. Here's the link: http://billsworkshop.com/banshee/ .
