Well ,guys thanks to Pickel's power of persuasion, Verdee and my daughter ,reluctanly gave in and we are calling our Lab pup, "Lucky". A note of appreciation are due to Algee 7 and Romulus 2 for their suggestion which turned out to be the final answer. I want to thank everyone for thier participation in this most difficult decision
We'll always remember ya'll whenever Lucky's
ramblin' around!! He stood up to our 20lb tom cat and ran him off!!! Thanks again

I'm relieved you didn't name him something crazy...or you'd have ended up visiting the doggy shrinkers, lol

Good luck with your new friend!

Just make sure Lucky hasn't got access to your power cords, he will be at the chewy age shortly http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

Congratz pickel. Dogs are wonderful friends, now only if you could help convince my fiance
of that (she's allergic)..

I just want all ya'll to know that "Sable" or "Dutch" was our (the girls') first choice - but since our granddaughter can almost say "lucky," it won out - wasn't nothing to do with the pickel or his powers of persuasion! Don't want any of you to think he can pull a fast one on us! But, really, Lucky's a good name and very applicable. After all, we rescued him from certain death (or worse, a bad new home with somebody else who wouldn't care about him like we do) and I know we'll have many years of fun with him. All we've gotta do is figure out how to keep him from biting our hands! We had Keeshonds last (both of which I trained to championship obedience titles) but it's been many years since I had to deal with puddles and the like. Wish us well - we'll all need it. Especially Pickel.
