Looking for good CD-RW software ??

Im purchasing my first cd/rw and was curious what software some of you peeps liked using ?

Adaptec Easy Creator 4.0 seems pretty good.

If you're buying a CDRW drive it should come with CDwriting software, unless you're buying OEM.

I've got Easy Creator 3.0 if you're interested. LMK.

By the way, which one are you planning on gettin'?

I've got a Ricoh 6x/4x/24x...pretty reliable but a bit on the slow side in terms of spin-up times. 7-10 seconds. Now that's gotta be bad. Darn reviews I've read never said anythin' bout it. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

Im getting a Plextor PlexWriter 8x4x32.
Do most of you use the software and comes with your CD-RW , I ASSumed most purchased a 3rd party software. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

What led me to asking this question is someone told me to use a program called Nero Burning Rom. WOW .....Pricey and a German made program that I have to buy from Germany......hmmmm. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif http://www.ahead.de/en/Index2.htm

Madd, I have 3 burners (Phillips, HP and of course Plextor), They all came with Adaptec's software and it works great when configured correctly! My Plextor also came with software that is propriatary (meaning it ONLY works with Plextor or those with Plextor firmware) that is AWESOME! The one that I really love is it's "disc dupe" as when it is used with a PLEXTOR reader it does burning BIT by BIT. I also bought Nero that now just sits idle on the programs launch bar. I personally wouldnt spend the extra money for software when what comes with MOST burners works just fine

I have to agree, Nero rocks. Not high on the software that came with my HP, but it does work.

ADAPTEC 4.0 gets my vote.....and i have sony hot burn that came with my cdr....tried my buddies nero .....didn't like it at all......

I use Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4. Works great. Only thing I noticed is that if you don't manually tell it to Close CD, most drives can't read the disk after it is burnt.

Before you start burning the a disk next time go to the "tab" where you see if it's going to close the CD and after you change it to close the cd click on the button to make that configuration the "default" That way it will always close the cd UNLESS you choose to keep it open http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
