Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : will it hurt computer if no monitor is plugged in?
I have set up a linux box. I only have one monitor and it is on my windows machine. I ordered a KVM but it won't be here for a while. In the meantime I would like to leave the linux box on so I can telnet into it, and have it cracking rc5. Will it burn up the video card or anything if I leave it on without a monitor attached?
Hello,
Like student in my home country I worked in some companies with couple of servers connected only to the one monitor trough the switch and they never encounter any problems with video cards.
Today might be a little different (?) because of the power management.

There shouldn't be any problems as I'm doing this also at the moment and haven't had any problems whatsoever.
Hey,if you have spare CPU cycles I hope that you consider Cracking RC5 for the team also.
Unused CPU power is such a waste.
Oops,I see that you are on the team after checking your profile and the stats page.
