My new card has some problems. The most annoying one is some sort of static I am seeing. It appears as intermittent horizontal lines of different colors about one inch in length. I can't seam to connect the behavior to anything in order to find out what is causing it.

I doubt that it's a heat problem. I am not over clocking anything and the fan is working on my card and system. No conflicting devices as far as I can tell. I don't think it could be interference because I only have one other expansion card in my system, an ISA Sound Blaster 16, and it's all the way on the other side of the mother board.

Well, here are my specs:

700Mhz Duron
Epox EP-8KTA-2 with latest 4-in-1 AGP drivers installed and Bios flash
128MB PC-133 SDRAM
10GB Maxtor HD
Sound Blaster 16 ISA

Creative Labs Annihilator Pro 32MB DDR AGP 4X Geforce 256 Engine with the following installed drivers:
nvarch16.dll, 10/5/00, 4.12.01.0634
nvarch32.dll, 10/5/00, 4.12.01.0634
nvcore.vxd, 10/5/00, 4.12.01.0634
nvdd32.dll, 10/5/00, 4.12.01.0634
nvdisp.drv, 10/5/00, 4.12.01.0634
nvmini.vxd, 10/5/00, 4.12.01.0634
nvmini2.vxd, 10/5/00, 4.12.01.0634
nvmode.dll,10/5/00, 4.12.01.0634

opengl32.dll, 4/24/99, 4.00.1381.0004
glu32.dll, 4/24/99, 4.00.1381.0001
nvopengl.dll, 10/5/00, 4.12.01.0634

DirectX 8

Any suggestion are much appreciated.

im thinking it could be something to do with your bios flash gone wrong or the new via 4 in 1 drivers you installed. Did this problem happen after you did either one of these things??

I remember reading somewhere recently that there are known issues with that vid card on a setup like yours. Will try to locate it again and post if I find it.

I'm not sure about if the problem was there before.

I tried my old monitor - same problem.

Do you know what is the latest version of Direct Draw?

I tried to take a screen shot of it. No can do. It's not something that can be saved. It's always in flux.
