First if you haven't already. Check out ATI's web site. To see if any one else has this problem. It could be an incompatiblilty with your system. Also look around the internet for the problem.
second. If your mobo is a year or older. Try updating it's AGP drivers.
Thirdly. Mess around with your bioses vid card settings i.e. changing how much memory is dedicated to the card, if fast write is enabled. Stuff like that. And then mess with Windows. Try lowering the exeleration settings, and try installing a newer version of DirectX.
Hope this helps! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Does the motherboard use a via chipset.
I have a similar problem with my AIW128pro.
Normally it only happens with a socket 7 board, but i suppose the chipset COULD cause a problem even it its not http://support.atitech.ca/infobase/3577.html
I send you here for most AIW problems. http://support.atitech.ca/products/pc/rage128/aiw128_issues.html
Note i returned my aiw because i never got it working correctly. Check for the normal stuff before freaking out. IRQ, DMA, I/O conflicts.

I have the PCI version so im not sure if changing the AGPapeture size will help.
Has for the motherboard its a BX chipset Micronics C400 (Diamond, and there last bios update was april 1999)
Also I have no problem running this card in Windows ME but I would like to run in Windows 2000 since I'm working on a homemade movie with Adobe Premier 5.1
I have also look trew ATI web site with no luck.

check out www.rage3d.com (http://www.rage3d.com) - it is a forum for all things ATI. This site is a great place to enter the forums and find out about the various fixes, beta drivers, etc.
Note : I think they are switching servers now so they may be down for a while.
I Know this is a commom problem that had a driver fix.
