which would be better general performance, the Riva TNT is a creative labs Graphics blaster, the i740 is a hercules Terminator 2 x/i, both were free, so don't laugh (hey, I bet ya'll wouldn't complain over free agp cards either)

All of the integrated chipsets from Intel are very slow for gaming, but I guess it's suitable for those who don't do any gaming at all wot so ever.. Almost all graphics card can perform betta than the i740.. so definitely TNT!

Hey, I've got an STB Velocity 4400 (Riva TNT) AGP Card and I like this one. It's defenitely better than any i740 based card so forget that i740 and go for TNT!

Who would "laugh" at this? The TNT is a decent graphics card!

this is no TNT2, it's a TNT
Oh, sorry. Anyways, yeah, those are decent cards also. I have a TNT Vanta on one of my systems. It can't run well at high resolution for heavy 3-D games such as Quake Arena, but seems to run decent on majority of the games.

I currently own a TNT2 M64-based card.. and I think it a piece of junk.. seriously.. it may run decent.. notice only decent on low resolutions.. but once u put in even medium resolutions it becomes almost unplayable! Then again, it was my fault of getting it in the first place.. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif I thought (before) that there wasn't much difference between the 2.. and once i started playin' games.. (upgraded from a P200, Banshee).. I was going wow this is so fast.. but then when I put on the FPS number.. huh!!? WTF!? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif
