voodoo3-2000 and voodoo5 heat difference

I notice alot of posts about how hot the voodoo3-2000 gets and i agree ,mine was always hot to the touch(real hot)! I have my case very cool with fans all over,no problem with heat on anthing else.Now i have a voodoo5 and it is just warm to the touch.Of coures it has two fans on it.But why does that v3-2000 get so **** hot it can burn ya?

It doesn't have a fan on its heatsink, the heat is just supposed to radiate.

The V5 still gets hot the HS/fans do a pretty good job though. I dont suggest doing this just take my word on it. The 2 squares on the opposite side of the chips still get very hot if you touch them.

Well, they would. That's basically the back of the graphics chip you're touching. Try touching the back of a P3 or AMD CPU. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
