Does anyone know how to adjust the sharpness on the above monitor? Am currently running it at 1280 X 1024 85 mhz. Middle of monitor screen is reasonably sharp, while outside edges are blurry/fuzzy.

You can adjust it, by pressing the OSD button?? I think the quality will also depend on your video card, if the video card can't really handle the resolution with ease (usually older cards) then it may look blurry.

Thanks for the information Wilan. I am using a Matrox G400 32MB card which is very recent. Have tried the OSD button, but no setting for sharpness, only brightness and contrast.

I'm using a couple LG flatron monitors at home and several at work and they do not have the feature to adjust the sharpness on the monitor.

Have this one both at home and work, work with gF2 GTS/ATi Rage 128, all fine, check your monitor.

Thanks for you replies NDC & ND. The monitor was just purchased new on Friday previous. Am running it with a Matrox G-400 32MB card.
Previous monitor was a Daytek 15" which had no problems.

Perhaps try to run a lower resolution.... instead of 1280x1024, try 1024x768... some monitors will become more "fuzzy" the closer you get to their maximum resolution..

Thanks for your response Ironforge. Just reset the monitor as you suggested, but still
getting the same effect. Have the refresh rate set to 85mhz. The max resolution of this monitor is 1600 X 1200. I am surprised I am having this problem as the information I have obtained indicates that the technology used to construct this monitor should deliver clean edges, which is not what I am getting.

Ironforge, I have just reset the monitor to 800 X 600 and it appears reasonable clear. Naturally I did not purchase this monitor to obtain this resolution as I was getting high and clearer on my old 15" Daytek (6 yrs old). Any ideas as to the problem at higher resolutions?

Like I said, try to replace your monitor with same LG. I use 1024x768 @ 100 Hz, and it works fine, I also sold like already 10 to my customers, and haven't seen such a problem nowhere. REPLACE your monitor !

Happy New Year !!!

Thanks for your reply ND. Intend to contact LG Canada customer service today to resolve the problem. The retailer I purchased it from is closed until the new year.
