I'm a pretty avid Quake 3 player. My favorite weapon is the Rail Gun. So I need pretty high frame rates (no I don't camp).

So here's my prob. I started getting stutering problems at 800x600. So I switched to 960x???. It went back to normal so I switched back. Same stuttering. I restart my pc. Same prob. I even turned my PC off and gave it enough time to flush the memory. But still the same problem. If I turn the Res up to say 1047x768 it works fine. But I don't get the right frame rate!

I've tried switching drivers and everything. The prob goes away after a few hours. But then comes back. Another way to fix it temperalrily. Is to stand in place for a while.

What is up!

Q3A ran fine with 128MB, but Q3teamA studdered bad, even low res. I added another 128MB and it's running beautifly with everything on high and 1280x1024. I have a 800TBird GeforceMX, 256(well 262)SDRAM at 143MHz, win2k. Memory would be my guess also.

I wasn't making my self clear.
My system is
Pentuim 3 600Mhz
192Mb's of SD-Ram
32MB TNT2 Ultra

The problem is. I get worse preformance at lower resulutions! Like 800x600 runs terribly. While 1024x768 runs nicely! It's strange. And the problem comes and goes at seemingly random intervals!
