What you said was partly true.
24Fps is what the eye can really register. But having higher frame rates makes games seem smoother!

As for the GeForce2 vs V5. Yes the V5 has better image quality. But at a signifigant loss of speed. It gets terrible frame rates with high quality settings. Price wise. The GeForce 2 mx is about $100 dollars cheeper then the V5.

Something you might consider is the ATI Radeon. It's about the same price as the V5, has tons of extra's, great speed, and awsome visual quality!

I recently watched an intresting "The screen savers" (this is a great show from a tv studio called TECHTV. It is availible with all satillite tv subscribers (i think) and alot of cabletv companies(including mine) now offer it to its customers) and they talked about fps and hertz (on your moniter).
They know that 24 fps is the lowest fps/hz that the eye will still be able to see continuous motion. But what speed will it not make a difference anymore? At what speed will your eye no longer be able to see a difference from that speed and 10 hzs higher? They said it was about 75 fps/hz. That was kind of a surprise to me but it made sence. That got me to thinking. Sure the g-force 2 ULTRA is the FASTEST card out there, but what about picture quaility. Someone told me that voodoo 5 5500 would kill even the g force 2 ultra in picture quaility becuase the ultra is fast in shooting out non high quaility frames. Is this true? I could save lots of $$ by buying a voodoo 5 instead of a g-force 2.
