BP 07-17-2000, 03:15 PM Has anyone tried the new GeForce2MX card yet?If so,how is it,any problems and how much? crin 12-06-2000, 08:00 PM I just bought an elsa GeForce2 MX..and its cool, i really wanted the GeForce2 ultra but that can wait till after xmas... It jumped my madonion score from 29xx to 46xx...which is quite a jump and i havent even tweaked it... I paid $129.00 @ electronic boutiques.. i say its worth it, i didnt have one problem with it yet running in 4x make sure to get the detonator3 drivers if you do buy one.. good luck LiLRiceBoi 12-06-2000, 08:49 PM i used that card in the system i built my friend. it has excellent performance for the price camaro 12-07-2000, 02:47 AM Plays Q3A very well on my 800TBird. I payed $113 back in september when GTS was $250. Now GTS is $160 so I would get that. Unless you find one for really cheap like $80 or so I would get the GTS. It will last you longer. Jeff7 12-08-2000, 01:35 AM Very nice price for hardware T&L. The biggest bottleneck of the GF2 MX is the slimmer memory pathway; I think it's half the bits of a full-fledged GF2; similar to what the M64 did to with the TNT2. I got an Innovision Tornado video card - smaller company, generic I guess. Someone sold it to me for $80. I have since overclocked it quite well - over 20MHz above the default core and memory settings. SysOpt.com
