Does your system work with any other monitor?

I have an older Sony CPD-100VS, the type where an amber light will flash. Check your manual's Troubleshooting section.

From my manual:

If the indicator is flashing orange (amber):

Check that your computer power switch is in the ON position.

The monitor may recover when you press any key on the keyboard.

Check that the video cable is properly connected.

Ensure that no pins are bent or pushed in the connecter of the cable.

Check that the video card in your compouter is seated completely in a proper bus slot.

Check that the video sync signal is within that specified for the monitor.

Your monitor may have a self-diagnostic feature. If so, follow your manual's instructions.

My manual says:

To activate the function, turn off the computer and the monitor. Press and hold the indicator switch (off/on monitor) switch for about 8 seconds. If the monitor is operating correctly, the screen will become white first and then the color bars will appear.

Good luck!

To Socalgal.
Thanks for your reply.
I really think the monitor is bad for some reasons it does not turn on the high voltage section( I do not have service manual). Normally even you don't connect monitor to the system when you plug it to the outlet and turn on the screen should show som kind of information on the screen!
Is somebody out there have service model for this model?
Thanks.
