Thanks all, found out that NERO also converts as it copies,maybe I'll buy it after the trial is over.

Yup, both NERO & Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4 can decode on the fly as they burn them to an audio CD. It's a cool feature, but sometimes I need to decode them to WAV format before hand to do a little bit of editing to them. Usually I just use WinAmp to decode my MP3s. I figure why install another program if I already have one that does what I need --and it seems to decode them rather quickly (K6-2 500 & 128MB).

I use Musicmatch. Very simple. It will also burn music CD's direct from mp3. You do not have to do the conversion, it takes care of the lot!
