I'm obviously missing something. Ehenever I would add websites to my Favorites they always came up in aphabetical order. Now, anything I add winds up at the end of the list in a new set af URLs in a new alphabetical order. I've looked around in IE4 and don't see anything helpful. I've tried the Organize Favorites to no avail and when I look at the folder in Windows Explorer they are in order.

I am so confused.

go to the registry and locate the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder

and delete it. this should alphabetize everything, including your program menu.

easier way tnen a regedit for IE 5 and win 98

right click on the list and then select sort by name..... that will alphabetize the list.... or if you want click on the item you want.... then drag to the location you want it to be, then let go of the mouse. It is a nice feature. But every time you add a link or a program it will automatically go to the bottom of the list

Sorry.... did not see that it was IE 4. try this anyways and let me know if it works.

Ok, I have the opposite problem (IE5)! I want mine to stay at the bottom. I add things as I surf then every so often I go in and check them out in detail. Lately they all wind up in alpabetical order so I have no idea wether or not it's some thing I want to keep http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif
So how do I prevent them from automatically alphabetizing themselves??
