Amarok 03-22-2000, 10:56 PM Thx Dave downloaded it and I will post something after I install it daveleau 03-23-2000, 12:26 AM I found this on the CNN site. It appears to do alot of the nice things ZA did (filtering cookies and such from advertisers) but without the potential spy-ware. Here are the links. I haven't tried it myself yet. THe main limitation I see is that it only works for IE 4 and 5. No netscape or IE5.5. So... http://www.idcide.com/ http://www.cnn.com/2000/TECH/computing/03/21/idcide/index.html Dave [This message has been edited by daveleau (edited 03-22-2000).] Amarok 03-23-2000, 03:22 PM Ok downloaded and installed last night.... so fars runs with no problems. You would not beleive the number of sites running tracking software. Tells you what site is connected with a particular tracking company. Lets you know if you are in full semi or non private mode. Only runs when you are running IE 4 or 5 (says on the page no support for NS or IE 5.5) Will keep you all posted as far as the program goes. daveleau 03-23-2000, 04:09 PM Thanks for the heads up. It looked nice but I haven't had a chance to install it myself. It sounds great. I have been a bit wary of this stuff too since the program Proksi for sharing internet connections killed my master boot record. I got that from download.com. That';s not why I didn't install it yet though. I am not asking you guys to test it for me. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif I'll try it out soon.
