503+/Geforce2 mx

I have a 503+ MB and what to upgrade my Video. Its a toss-up between a TNT2 and the Geforce. Because of the power required, will the Geforce run on a 503+????

get a geforce2mx as it is a lower power chip (.18 micron process).

I have the same mobo/card combo. Mobo is version1.2A and MX is retail Prophet. Seems stable enough in AGPx1. CANNOT get it stable enough at AGPx2.

Just make sure you use VIA AGP drv 3.56 not 4.03, as i think this is best for this setup (performance wise).

Not too bothered really with initial minor incompatibilities as I'm hoping to get Duron soon!

Thanks for the response. I think that I will bite the bullet and buy a G2 MX and see what happens. The price is very close between a TNT2 and the MX and I know the MX is a much better card but the upgrade article over at ANANDS correctly pointed out that some MB's could not handle the power requirements of the MX video card and I have not seen anyone with a 503+ saying much about it so I thought I should check it out.
